U11/1 Boys
Slow start from the boys but we pulled together and came away with a 6~0 win. With the 6 goals being shared around with 4 boys scoring. The team have a few things still to work on leading into the finals but we will work together and try hard.

B & F was tied between Makhaya and Mehar
Grill’d Awesome Effort award went to Angus.

U11/2 Boys
It was 1-0 to Wests at half time; Uni Juniors were disappointed not to have scored a goal at any time of the season. They were sure to lose because despite all their efforts they simply could not score – even when Jack was smashing the ball up the field, Jakson and Finn attacking, superb tackling from Hugo, Felix, and Owen, great defence from Edward, Charlie and Matt. And that’s when it happened: Jack smashed the ball up the field as if it was weightless and with Finn in support Jakson SCORED! The team was so happy they had scored especially Felix who gave the goal scorer [Jakson] a massive headlock which was probably his way of saying Well Done [see photos]. Sadly for Uni Juniors, Wests scored in the last 10 minutes of the game, meaning they won 2-1. Everyone was happy that the team scored their first ever goal of the season and Jakson was awarded player of the week which was really a nice juicy hamburger.

13/1 Girls
It was a warm Saturday Morning down on the Carter field at Lyneham. We Uni Juniors came up against United. We played a fantastic game. We dealt with a few short corners but managed to keep them out. All the girls spread out around the field and in position. We scored two amazing goals, winning the game 2-nil.
This weeks Grill’d Awesome Effort Award was given to Abbey Lamb for great passing out wide, hitting the mark with her passes and great calling throughout the game. Great work Abbey!

U13/2 Girls
Uni Juniors U15 div 2 played Tuggeranong Vikings at Lyneham Hockey Centre. The final score was nil all. The most important part of the game for our team was when most of the team was at the Vikings goal end. Our team has improved this year in calling and passing to other players.
Fortunately there were no injuries in either team. We definitely need to practise running back down in defence.
Astrid Simmons won our Grill’d ‘Awesome effort’ award for putting in 100%.

U15/2 B Girls
Last friday we had an amazing win against Old Canberra (checks). The 2-0 victory meant that we took first place on the ladder. I think we were all very happy with the result especially since we drew last time we played them, if we continue through to the finals we will most likely be playing this team so it was a good confidence boost. I though everyone on the team played really well and we were communicating with each other on the field. Our press was strong and we had multiple close shots on goal. We scored twice once by Danielle and once by Ashleigh.

The Grill’d Awesome Effort award went to our amazing goalkeeper for her effort today. At one point they had a break away and it was three on one as our defence got back, Laila confidently stopped the shot and we got the ball back. Overall a great game and thanks to the under 13s who filled in.
– Amy W 🙂

U18 Girls
Last weekend we had a bye but this Saturday we face our arch rivals Goulburn at 9.00am immediately followed by a 2nd game against NCHC at 10.00am.
