Hockey ACT are seeking nominations from both males and females aged between 12 – 17 years for the 2016 intake of the JOEY program. JOEYS is the Junior Officiating Education Program and aims to teach young people the skills of umpiring through theory and practical sessions. Senior umpire coaches assist JOEYS with umpiring on the field to develop skills and build confidence.
To nominate, you don’t need to have any previous umpiring experience, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn is a must!
Umpires MUST be available to umpire either Saturday or Sunday mornings (scheduled U13/1 games).
